Administrator (Part-time)

YWCA Scotland

Based in Livingston

21 hrs per week

We are looking for an experienced administrator with excellent customer service and team working skills who will be responsible for all day to day administration relating to the centre and its services including reception duties, bookings, budgets and petty cash. You will also be responsible for co-ordinating the general maintenance of the building. Previous administration experience and the ability to manage a busy and varied role are essential requirements.

The hours of work for this position are:
Monday 9am to 2pm
Tuesday to Friday 9am to 1pm

YouthBank Development Officer

YouthLink Scotland

YouthLink Scotland is the National Agency for Youth Work and with its partner YouthBank UK has secured funds via the Big Lottery Fund, Young People’s Fund to develop YouthBank Scotland – an empowering project which enables young people to build their skills through youth led grant making.

The post holder will creatively engage young people locally, regionally and nationally, support their participation, facilitate credit rated and no- credit rated training and the establishment of the projects ICT infrastructure.

The post holder will play a vital role in the establishment and development of this new national project building on current Scottish YouthBank Network.

Reporting to the Senior Development Officer the post holder will be expected to be outcome focused, self motivated and with excellent organisation and communication skills.

Key result areas include: establishment of the projects administrative processes ITC & physical, design and delivery of training, development and maintenance of relationships’ via a range of groups and networks with young people, those who work with them and potential funders.

Through its nature this post will require some evening and weekend work and as it is a national project travel and periodic overnight stay is expected.

Part -Time Detached Youth Worker

Hyzone

You will join the team of Hyzone  - a detached youth work project in Hamilton, South Lanarkshire, entering its second year of operation.

Hyzone is a partnership project with 5 Hamilton Churches, The Big Lottery Fund, South Lanarkshire Council Youth Services and the Church of Scotland Parish Development Fund.

Promoting social inclusion you will assist young people to identify their needs; social, spiritual, ethical and personal and enable them to tackle issues including sectarianism and territorialism by developing an issue based programme. Reporting to the Project Co-Ordinator and supported by the Hyzone Board and Management Committee you will develop the outcomes of the project.

Team Leader Community Learning and Development (Community Capacity Building)

East Lothian Council

We are seeking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced Team Leader to the field Community Capacity Building for Community Learning and Development. Applicants must possess a degree in Community Education, have extensive post qualifying experience and have a firm knowledge and understanding of current relevant strategy and policy development across the National Priorities. Experience of managing a staff team is essential, so too is evidence of partnership working with statutory and voluntary sector education providers. An effective leader and able to work on their own initiative candidates will have excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills. Ability to plan, deliver and evaluate programmed initiatives together with a strong commitment to equality and quality improvement are required essential characteristics.

The Rank Foundation is looking to appoint a self motivated nationally qualified Youth Worker with excellent facilitative and communication skills to develop further our already well established youth and education initiatives principally in Northern Ireland and Northern England.
