Supplementary Information and Guidance
Disqualified from Working with Children List

This supplementary information and guidance refers to the section of the Protection of Children Scotland Act that allows Scottish Ministers to keep a list of individuals considered unsuitable to work with children (Disqualified form Working with Children List (DWCL)). The guidance on this act produced in December 2004 and March 2005 still applies. However, the supplementary information contains a new form and guidance on making a referral for consideration on the list.

Taking Forward the Government Economic Strategy: A Discussion Paper on Tackling Poverty, Inequality and Deprivation in Scotland: Briefing
This paper asks respondents to comment on the aims of the Government Economic Strategy (GES) with a particular focus on tackling poverty and its causes in Scotland. The aim of the paper is to help inform the development of a framework for delivering the aspects of the GES in respect to tackling poverty, inequality and deprivation. It is hoped that the framework will help improve the co-ordination of the Government and its agencies in tackling these issues and help set the direction of this type of work in Scotland in the future.
