Community Worker (Youth)

Evening and weekend working is a condition of this post

As a Community Worker (Youth) you will be responsible for the delivery of Youth Work peer education initiatives within the Stirling Council area, and be committed to delivering face to face work with young people.

You will have substantial experience of working with young people, peer education and have an understanding of the issues affecting them. With excellent communication skills, you will have a Degree/Diploma in Community Education.

Assistant Award Director Scotland

The Duke of Edinburgh's Award

The Assistant Award Director Scotland (AADS) will provide leadership for all Operational functions of the Award programme in Scotland. In particular the AADS will implement a Scottish Development Plan and Scottish Training Strategy

The role will report to the Award Director – Scotland and is responsible for the successful achievement of performance and ensuring the satisfaction of Participants, Operating Authorities, Award Groups and their staff, and will be accountable for the Award programme targets established within the agreed Annual Operating and Financial Plan.

Team Leader Community Learning and Development (Community Capacity Building)

East Lothian Council

We are seeking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced Team Leader to the field Community Capacity Building for Community Learning and Development. Applicants must possess a degree in Community Education, have extensive post qualifying experience and have a firm knowledge and understanding of current relevant strategy and policy development across the National Priorities. Experience of managing a staff team is essential, so too is evidence of partnership working with statutory and voluntary sector education providers. An effective leader and able to work on their own initiative candidates will have excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills. Ability to plan, deliver and evaluate programmed initiatives together with a strong commitment to equality and quality improvement are required essential characteristics.

The Rank Foundation is looking to appoint a self motivated nationally qualified Youth Worker with excellent facilitative and communication skills to develop further our already well established youth and education initiatives principally in Northern Ireland and Northern England.
